The Virtual Grid Application Development Software (VGrADS) Project [Kennedy] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will give an overview of the goals, research directions, and organization of the VGrADS project.
The Virtual Grid and vg Execution System (vgES) [Chien] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will present the design rationale for the Virtual Grid, the design of the Execution System, and an initial prototype implementation.
VGES Demonstrations [Casanova] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will continue presenting the design rationale for the Virtual Grid, the design of the Execution System, and an initial prototype implementation.
VGrADS Programming Tools Research [Kennedy] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will present an overview of the requirements for Grid programming, the abstract programming models that support it, and the tools that enable effective use of these models.
VGrADS Education, Outreach and Training Activities [Cooper] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will present an overview of VGrADS recruitment and outreach activities, past, present and future.
Fault Tolerance For Sparse Linear Algebra Computations Implemented In A Grid Environment [Dongarra] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will describe work in progress toward providing fault tolerance for sparse linear algebra computations implemented in a Grid environment.
Resource Characterization [Wolski] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We describe a new methodology for making statistical predictions of the time individual jobs spend waiting in a batch queue (as might be used on a Grid resource). We also present an empirical verification of its effectiveness and an implementation with the goal of providing such estimates to grid application scheduling.
EMAN, Scheduling, Performance Prediction, and Virtual Grids [Koelbel] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will describe experiments with the GrADS and VGrADS infrastructures in implementing the Electron Microscopy Analysis (EMAN) package, and the influence this has had on Virtual Grid development.
LEAD, Workflows and Virtual Grids [Reed] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will describe experiences and collaborations with the Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery (LEAD) ITR project, including integration of performance measurement and orchestration atop virtual grids.
Clarification of Issues Raised by the Site Visit Team [Kennedy] by admin — last modified 2007-12-14 14:12
We will present a response to key issues and questions raised by the site review team at the end of the first day.
